Police report that a man opened fire near a home on Perry Street around 5pm Friday, killing two women outside before moving into the residence, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wral.com\/news\/ap\/nine-dead-erie-pa-shooting-october-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WRAL<\/a>. Inside, officers later found more victims, including two children, Erie police said, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtae.com\/article\/erie-pennsylvania-shooting-multiple-dead\/74097255\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTAE<\/a>.&#13;\n                                    <\/p>\n<p class=\"storyParagraph\">&#13;<br \/>\n                                        Authorities say the suspected gunman remained in the home during a standoff with responding officers and ultimately died by suicide, bringing the death toll to nine. Witnesses told police they saw the shooter firing before he entered the house, per WRAL.
