A 10-year veteran, Seiber died at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Another 33-year-old officer was shot 12 times.\n<\/p>\n<p>Seiber leaves behind a wife and two children, ages 7 and 3.\n  <\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said at a news conference Saturday that the other officer is \u201cstable\u201d but is \u201cnot out of the woods yet.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Bethel said the suspect is in custody and did not provide any details about his identity.\n<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Cherelle Parker said that city officials will be communicating with Seiber\u2019s family.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI need you to know that your Philadelphia village is here. You are not alone. We will be by your side, in the midst of it all,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n<p>Officers received a call at 12:22 a.m. about a man with a gun on a porch at 140 N. 52nd St., Bethel said at an earlier news conference.
