Josh Shapiro said Saturday. Police said the suspected shooter was also dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">\u201cI have not seen anything like this in my 28-plus years,\u201d Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah told a local news station. \u201cI\u2019m not sure that the city of Erie has ever seen the loss of life and the devastation that we just witnessed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">Lorah declined to provide more details but said the circumstances of the shooting were \u201cdeeply disturbing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">Shapiro said Saturday he offered his administration\u2019s \u201cfull support\u201d to Erie Mayor Daria Devlin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">The city of Erie posted late Friday night that the suspected shooter was dead and there was no threat to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">Erie is about 117 miles (188 kilometers) north of Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 fcApnw body-paragraph\">This is a developing story.
