MACUNGIE, Pa. – On Saturday, people got to celebrate fall with their furry friends as the Barktoberfest Pet Fair took over Macungie Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event featured a free dog agility course and a stunt dog show, which included frisbee tricks, stunts, and canine basketball.

Additionally, two food trucks were parked at the event: Roasties and Tint Temptations.

The Barktoberfest Pet Fair began in 2009 and is held annually on the second Saturday in October in the heart of Macungie.

At the pet fair, attendees can get to know the local rescues and even learn how to help them in their shared mission to find homes for the animals in their care, event organizers say.

Additionally, pet owners can check out new fashions and goodies for their pets, find a new groomer or pet sitter, or buy various pet-related items from vendors.
