\u201cThe food is wonderful. It\u2019s consistent, the service is good, the atmosphere and it doesn\u2019t change. It\u2019s been like that for 50 years or more,\u201d Masi shared.<\/p>\n
The Plymouth first opened in 1973 along State Street in downtown Erie. Since then, a private party room was added in the front, complementing the main dining and bar area. A unique greenhouse room filled with thriving plants sits just off a larger dining space, creating a cozy atmosphere year-round.<\/p>\n
AJ Hanson, an Erie native and general manager, has worked at The Plymouth for over a decade in roles ranging from bartender to supervisor. Hanson ensures original menu items remain available, including tavern favorites like the pretzel combo, French dip, and the cold cut combo sub, a fan favorite.<\/p>\n
The back bar is a popular gathering spot, especially on Thursday nights, which feature the long-standing Import Night, offering about 40 imported beers for just $2 a bottle. Nearby, guests enjoy an outdoor patio in warm weather and indoor games like Skee ball, darts, and games of chance year-round.<\/p>\n
