ERIE, Pa. — The Erie County Coroner has identified the victims of Friday’s mass shooting near E. 7th and Perry streets in Erie that left ten dead, including three children and the suspected shooter.

The adult victims were identified as Twila Tanner, 51; Angelina Stone, 24; Jonathan Stone, 19; Matthew Stone, 21; Michelle Stone, 44; and Lora Roberts, 37.

Two young children, a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl, were also killed. Their names have not been released.

Angelina Stone was eight months pregnant, and her unborn child also died. She had been scheduled to be induced Monday.

The suspected shooter was identified as Matthew Stone Sr., 45. Police said he was found dead on the second floor of the home at 722 Perry St. from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was recovered from his person.

In all, nine victims were killed, including the unborn child, along with the suspected shooter.

Police were alerted around 4:53 p.m. Friday after ShotSpotter detected two gunshots in the 700 block of Perry Street. Officers arrived within minutes and found Tanner and Roberts dead outside the residence.

Investigators said video evidence and witness accounts showed the two women had arrived at the home appearing distressed and sought help from neighbors. Police believe shootings had already occurred inside before the gunman came outside and killed the two women.

Inside the home, police found the 5-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl on the first floor. Angelina Stone, Michelle Stone, Jonathan Stone and Matthew Stone were found on the second floor and stairwell.

Investigators determined that all of the victims had been killed and the suspected shooter had died before police arrived. Police said no gunshots were fired after officers reached the scene.

Officers initially did not know whether the gunman remained alive inside the home or whether others were still in danger. Police sought a search warrant, attempted to make contact and deployed drones before SWAT officers breached multiple doors and used a robot to assess the residence.

Police Chief Rick Lorah later clarified that sounds initially believed to be additional gunfire during the response were flash-bang devices and chemical munitions deployed by SWAT.

Police have not announced a motive for the shootings.

ERIE, Pa. — The Erie County Coroner has identified the victims of Friday’s mass shooting near E. 7th…

[12
17147,136,138,137,457,11374,206,43658,11413
post-305762","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-erie","tag-coroner","tag-erie","tag-erie-headlines","tag-erie-news","tag-homicide","tag-mass-shooting","tag-police","tag-suicide","tag-victims
["GET
