After breaking ground in December 2023, the Pennsylvania State Police officially unveiled their new Troop E headquarters on Wednesday, marking a major investment in public safety infrastructure for Erie County and the surrounding region.

The new state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide troopers with modern resources, expanded training opportunities, enhanced evidence storage capabilities, and improved operational efficiency for years to come.

“This project is about more than just replacing a 58-year-old building,” said Troop E Commanding Officer Captain Dale Brown. “It is a long-term investment to ensure our members have access to the advanced tools and technology needed to meet the evolving demands of 21st-century policing.”

Brown said the headquarters was strategically located in a more central area of Erie County, allowing for greater accessibility and more efficient responses to calls for service throughout the region.

The new headquarters spans 63,623 square feet and is the first troop headquarters constructed by the Pennsylvania State Police in recent years. One of its most notable features is the agency’s first long-term evidence storage facility, providing secure space for preserving evidence over extended periods.

The facility also includes a variety of upgraded resources and amenities, including:

A 10-lane indoor firing range.

Expanded office and investigative spaces.

Covered parking for state police vehicles.

An on-site automotive garage for vehicle maintenance.

A dedicated procurement and supply office.

Modern administrative and operational workspaces.

The headquarters brings together operations that were previously split between the troop’s former state-owned headquarters and a leased facility, creating a more centralized and efficient workspace for personnel.

Construction on the project began in December 2023 and was funded through a capital project administered by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services.

The unveiling comes as construction continues on the Pennsylvania State Police’s new state-of-the-art academy. Last month, officials marked another milestone in that project with the opening of an outdoor tactical training area. The academy project is expected to be completed in 2028.

After breaking ground in December 2023, the Pennsylvania State Police officially unveiled their new Troop E headquarters on…

[12
136,138,137,2857,1856,1224,294,125753
post-306674","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-erie","tag-erie","tag-erie-headlines","tag-erie-news","tag-infrastructure","tag-law-enforcement","tag-pennsylvania-state-police","tag-public-safety","tag-troop-e-headquarters
["GET
