Peak fall color has arrived in the Laurel Highlands. Foresters note maples are showing impressive bright yellows, oranges and reds. Most oak trees remain green with some splashes of burgundy, brown and gold.<\/p>\n
If you are looking for an adventure, take in the fall landscape with a hike at Beartown Rocks Overlook in Clear Creek State Park in Jefferson County.<\/p>\n
Beautiful foliage lines main routes and back roads up north. The Pennsylvania DCNR suggests Route 62 along the Allegheny River. For boaters, colorful foliage is on display on waterways like the Allegheny, French Creek and Oil Creek. <\/p>\n
The best fall color of the season will arrive a little later for southwestern Pennsylvania. The hillsides of Allegheny, Washington and Greene counties are still painted with “bright hickory, maple and yellow poplar foliage,” according to the report from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.<\/p>\n

The vibrant fall colors will continue through the weekend for the Laurel Highlands. The fall scenery should stick around through late October, especially at lower elevations.<\/p>\n
