Sean “Diddy” Combs<\/a>, the music and business mogul turned convicted felon, was transferred to another prison in Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed.<\/p>\n

Combs was moved from Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

The move comes roughly two weeks after NBC News reported<\/a> that Combs had access to cellphones, liquor and other contraband at the Fort Dix federal prison. The disgraced music mogul had also been paying inmates to cook for him, clean for him, make his bed and even give him Chinese-style massages.<\/p>\n

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer,” a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson wrote.<\/p>\n

In a previous NBC News report, Combs had men who cooked for him and men who cleaned for him. There were men who made his bed and others who did his laundry. There was even a man who gave him Chinese-style massages. All of this was according to four men who have spent time in the same unit as the disgraced hip-hop mogul. They were granted anonymity to speak freely about life inside the prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not some normal s— you see in jail. This is some rich s—,\u201d said one of the men. \u201cIt looks crazy, but again, it\u2019s Diddy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The story also drew in part from photos and videos taken inside the prison and reviewed by NBC News. They include footage of Combs appearing to use a contraband phone.<\/p>\n

The disgraced hip hop mogul arrived at the Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey in October after he was sentenced to 50 months behind bars for transporting people across state lines for sexual encounters.<\/p>\n

Since then, he has spent thousands of dollars a month to bring his high-end lifestyle to the low-security prison, NBC News reported.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAttorneys for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs were back in court Thursday, pushing for an appeals court to overturn his conviction and prison sentence. They claim his infamous “freak-off” recordings were free speech, while the judges questioned whether the sentencing was too harsh. NBC New York’s Erica Byfield reports.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

Federal prisons often transfer inmates to the special housing unit when they are the subjects of an investigation, experts say.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d put people in the SHU while we were gathering evidence,\u201d said Vito Maraviglia, a retired special investigator for the Bureau of Prisons who worked at Fort Dix in the late 1990s.<\/p>\n

Maraviglia said the New Jersey prison is known as one of the cushiest in the federal prison system. It has segmented housing areas that are more difficult to monitor than at other facilities, making it easier for inmates to hide and use contraband items like cellphones.<\/p>\n

\u201cA high-profile guy like that, with all that money, I\u2019m surprised they put him at a place like Fort Dix,\u201d Maraviglia said.<\/p>\n

Inmates placed in the SHU are locked in a cell with one other person for at least 23 hours a day, according to two men who spent time at Fort Dix. Inmates are allowed a book or two and a wind-up radio, the sources said, and they must wear an orange jumpsuit instead of the regular khaki uniform or grey sweatpants and shirts.<\/p>\n

Meals are delivered in trays but commissary access is restricted, and they are permitted to shower only a few days a week. The sources said they must otherwise wash up in a sink.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nasty down there,\u201d one of the sources said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFamed criminal defense attorney Ben Brafman was awarded the Honorable Robert Louis Cohen Award for professional excellence by the New York Criminal Bar Association, for his more than 40 years as an attorney. Brafman has been the defense attorney in several high profile New York cases, with some of his clients including Plaxico Buress, Sean Combs, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Martin Shkreli and Harvey Weinstein.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t Combs\u2019 first time in solitary confinement at Fort Dix. Last summer, he was placed in the special housing unit<\/a> after he got into a fight with another inmate.<\/p>\n

He was later kicked out of a drug treatment program at the prison but continued paying inmates to do a range of services for him, NBC News reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The story prompted responses from people as varied as Combs\u2019 longtime nemesis 50 Cent<\/a> and the prominent attorney Gloria Allred, who represents a woman suing him for allegedly raping her more than 20 years ago. (Combs has denied the allegations, and the case is ongoing.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThese serious allegations against Mr. Combs cry out for an immediate federal investigation and appropriate federal action including a prosecution if the allegations of having and using a cell phone while incarcerated can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt,\u201d Allred said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Combs\u2019 trial last year centered on drug-fueled orgies he organized called \u201cfreak offs.\u201d They involved male sex workers and his former girlfriends \u2013 including the singer Cassie \u2013 who filed a lawsuit against Combs alleging years of physical and sexual abuse. (The case was settled,<\/a> with Combs denying any wrongdoing.)<\/p>\n

The trial ended in a split verdict, with a New York jury finding him not guilty on the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering charges that could have put him in prison for life.<\/p>\n
