ALLENTOWN, Pa. – William Allen High School was evacuated and a juvenile was taken into custody after a bomb threat on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
At around 12:56 p.m., officers responded to the high school for a report of a bomb threat, according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department. Allentown School District spokesperson Melissa Reese said students and staff were evacuated from the school.<\/p>\n
Police said that after working with the school administration, they confirmed the school was cleared and no threat was found.<\/p>\n
A 16-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats, a felony of the third degree, according to Allentown police.<\/p>\n
The Allentown Police Department is investigating.<\/p>\n
