S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – A 30-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle accident in South Whitehall Township on Thursday morning, police say.<\/p>\n
According to authorities, at approximately 10:13 a.m., South Whitehall Township Police officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Huckleberry Road for a motorcycle crash.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located an unresponsive man who was believed to have been the operator of the motorcycle, police say.<\/p>\n
The motorcyclist was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 11:37 a.m., Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio says.<\/p>\n
The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the coroner said.<\/p>\n
The crash is being investigated by the South Whitehall Township Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and the Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin and the Lehigh County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
