HANOVER TWP., Pa. – Millions around the country are coming together Tuesday to honor our veterans. In Northampton County, a special Veterans Day ceremony was held at Hanover Elementary School.<\/p>\n

There are dozens of American flags in front of the school and there were many decorations inside the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Red, white, and blue cover the walls of the school this Veterans Day as the community comes together. Navy Veteran Michael Carter was at the ceremony.<\/p>\n

“It means everything to see our children celebrate us and to, you know, give acknowledgement to all of the service we have provided. It feels great,” Carter said.<\/p>\n

Beverly Josar’s husband is a Vietnam Veteran. He’s in Washington D.C. Tuesday.<\/p>\n

“My grandson Jacob is in fifth grade, but I’ve enjoyed coming here every year. I come on behalf of my husband because he’s in Washington with his buddies,”\u00a0Josar said.<\/p>\n

It’s a ceremony 4th grade teacher Nikki Giannaras helps organize, to honor our nation’s veterans.<\/p>\n

“This is a team effort.
