(WHP) \u2014 A Texas man has been charged with homicide following a fiery crash on I-81 North Friday.<\/p>\n<p>According to an update from state police, one person was killed and two others were reportedly critically injured in a chain reaction involving seven vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The crash was reported at 7:14 a.m. at Exit 47 in South Middleton Township, according to Cumberland County dispatch. <\/p>\n<p>Dispatch confirmed that a tractor-trailer and a car were involved in the crash.<\/p>\n<p><p>The crash on I-81 in Cumberland County on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. (Credit: Kristen Becker)<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Cumberland County Coroner&#8217;s Office confirmed to CBS 21 they were called around 7:40 a.m. to the scene of the crash. <\/p>\n<p>State police said David Rodis Lynn III, of Round Rock, Texas has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The highway was closed between Exit 47 and Exit 52, which is where a <a href=\"https:\/\/local21news.com\/news\/local\/tractor-trailer-overturns-halting-traffic-on-i-81-cumberland-county-pa-pennsylvania-middlesex-mechanicsburg-penndot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">separate crash occurred around 5 a.m.<\/a> It has since reopened.<\/p>\n<p>The identity of the deceased individual has not been released.<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.
