(WHTM) – Republican Congressman Scott Perry and Democrat Janelle Stelson are tied in a new poll released just over a week before a pivotal general election rematch.<\/p>\n
The New York Times\/Philadelphia Inquirer\/Siena poll<\/a> released on Oct. 25 showed Perry and Stelson tied at 48% among likely voters in Pennsylvania’s 10th District.<\/p>\n [sailthru_widget name=”Sailthru Widget Block” sailthru_list=”This Week in PA” title=”This Week in Pennsylvania”]<\/p>\n Recent polls conducted by Franklin & Marshall College<\/a> and Susquehanna Polling and Research<\/a> both had Stelson leading Perry by three points. Both surveys were conducted before the race’s lone debate, which was hosted by abc27 on Oct. 14<\/a>.<\/p>\n The newest poll, conducted from Oct. 16-22, showed Stelson and Perry with identical overall favorable ratings of 45%. Perry’s unfavorable rating was 45% compared to Stelson’s 41%.<\/p>\n Despite a deluge of ads<\/a> hitting voters in the final weeks of the campaign, the poll also found most voters had already made up their minds, with 56% saying they knew who they’d support before September. Twenty-one percent said they decided in October, and two percent said they had not yet decided.<\/p>\n There’s also a notable gap in cross-party voting; 12% of registered Republicans surveyed said they’ll support Stelson, while 6% of registered Democrats said they’ll vote for Perry.<\/p>\n Geographically, Stelson’s largest base of support was among Cumberland County voters (53%), while Perry’s was in his home York County (56%). Immigration, control of Congress\/support for a party, healthcare, and the state of democracy\/corruption rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n The poll also found a majority of 10th District residents disapprove of President Donald Trump’s job performance, with 56% saying they somewhat or strongly disapprove. Sixty-one percent said they disapproved of how the president is handling the economy.<\/p>\n \u00a0Stacy Garrity’s campaign receives $600,000 donation from skill games group\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n The 10th District race could be the closest congressional campaign in Pennsylvania this year. The Times\/Inquirer\/Siena<\/a> poll found Democrats leading Republican incumbents in the 1st, 7th, and 8th Congressional Districts.<\/p>\n Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti (D) leads Congressman Rob Bresnahan by five points in the 8th District poll, 51% to 46%. Firefighter union leader Bob Brooks (D) also leads Congressman Ryan Mackenzie by five points in the Lehigh Valley region, 49% to 44%.<\/p>\n Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie (D) leads Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick by two points (48% to 46%) in the 1st District, which covers all of Bucks County and part of Montgomery County.<\/p>\n As of 8 a.m. on Oct. 23, the Pennsylvania Department of State has reported 771,806 absentee or mail ballots being returned to county boards of election. That’s more than 61% of all approved absentee and mail ballots distributed.<\/p>\n Election Day is Nov. 3, 2026. Pennsylvania voters<\/a> had until Oct. 19 to\u00a0register to vote<\/a> and Oct. 27 to request a mail-in or absentee ballot<\/a>. Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., barring a judicial order.<\/p>\n
