A 15-year-old boy has died nearly a month after a falling tree branch struck him while he was reportedly with members of his high school cross-country team in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n
The boy, a student at Parkland High School, was injured around 9 a.m. Saturday, September 26, along the 1300 block of Oxford Drive near Little Lehigh Parkway in Allentown.<\/p>\n
29 days after the accident, the boy died Sunday, at Lehigh Valley Hospital\u2013Cedar Crest. <\/p>\n
The coroner’s office determined his death was caused by complications of multiple blunt force injuries and ruled it an accident.<\/p>\n
The coroner said the boy’s identity would not be publicly released out of respect for his grieving family\/ <\/p>\n
“I believe his family deserves the time, space, and privacy to grieve the loss of their loved one without additional public attention,” the coroner said in a news release. <\/p>\n
