WEST READING, Pa. \u2014 A little Spider-Man joined superheroes and plenty of other characters moving from stop to stop along Penn Avenue in West Reading during a Trunk-or-Treat event Friday evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt’s very exciting. There’s so many people out here,\u201d attendee Joseph Cruz said. \u201cWe just came out to have a good time, and everybody here is just happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Some people came for the candy. Mary Napoli came ready to dance\u2014and she pulled 69 News reporter Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ednez in to join her.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause I’m all about fun, and Halloween is fun,\u201d Napoli said.<\/p>\n
The fun continues Saturday with West Reading\u2019s hayride, haunted house and Pumpkin Fest, where an artist will spend up to 10 hours carving a 700-pound pumpkin.<\/p>\n
Over at Classic Harley-Davidson, motorcycles, cars and trucks will become candy stops during another Trunk-or-Treat. That event will also help the Animal Rescue League find one lucky dog a new home.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is our fourth annual Trunk-or-Treat with Animal Rescue League,\u201d said Kyle McBain of Classic Harley-Davidson. \u201cWe try and do this every year to help get pets adopted through Animal Rescue League. We actually sponsor an adoption for a dog.\u201d<\/p>\n
The free event will also include treats for pets and a poker run for adults. The Classic Harley-Davidson event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n
In West Reading, Pumpkin Fest runs from noon until 11 p.m., and the haunted house will be open from 7 until 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
