Car wedged under tractor-trailer in Penn Hills<\/p>\n
A driver was treated for superficial injuries Monday morning after their vehicle was wedged under a tractor-trailer during a crash in Penn Hills.<\/p>\n
Emergency responders were dispatched to the 1900 block of Universal Road shortly after 8 a.m., according to a social media post from Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company. The driver was stuck in the vehicle when units arrived, the post said.<\/p>\n
The driver was treated for superficial wounds on scene and declined to be transported to a hospital, the post said. The Penn Hills Police Department is leading an investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n
PennDOT announces inspection, lane restrictions on Tarentum Bridge<\/p>\n
Travelers going across the Tarentum Bridge will experience lane restrictions throughout the week.<\/p>\n
Single-lane restrictions will be in effect for the eastbound lanes of the bridge from Ross Street at 7th Avenue, according to a release from PennDOT. Restrictions will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday.<\/p>\n
Crews from Michael Baker International will be conducting an inspection during that time.<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh police release latest Downtown Public Safety stats<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh police released the latest batch of arrest and citation numbers from the department\u2019s Downtown Public Safety Center.<\/p>\n
From Oct. 19-25, police made 21 arrests and seven non-traffic stops. They issued six parking tickets, four tows and made seven traffic stops. They confiscated one gun.<\/p>\n
The initiative involves various strategies like increased foot and bike patrols, a patrol vehicle operating during evening and overnight hours and collaboration between the public safety center, social service workers and community stakeholders.<\/p>\n
