\u201cLed by Johnson, affectionately known as \u2018Mama B,\u2019 the boutique has long been a trusted community hub for families seeking affordable essentials, including clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as encouragement and compassionate support,\u201d the release states.<\/p>\n
\u201cIts new Seventh Street location marks an exciting next chapter, offering an updated space designed not only to meet retail needs but also to be more accessible for hands-on support and a closer connection to local families.\u201d<\/p>\n
In March, 69 News asked Johnson what inspired her desire to open a thrift boutique.<\/p>\n
“I love bargains,\u201d Johnson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love deals. I love clearance. And also we’re hoarders. We always gave clothing away, always gave to Salvation Army, Good Will… giving clothes away. I was like ‘You know what, ‘How about we just do something else?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Mama B Resale Boutique is reopening at its new location a couple of weeks after the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation\u2019s sold-out inaugural Hurdles for Hope Black-Tie Gala at the Philadelphia Art Museum.<\/p>\n
On Nov. 1, more than 450 guests gathered at the gala to raise funds for underserved youth, women and families throughout Pennsylvania, including the Lehigh Valley, where the Barkley family\u2019s roots run deep.<\/p>\n
The gala brought together fellow NFL Philadelphia Eagles players, Fox\u2019s Good Day Philadelphia hosts, A-list celebrity guests, culinary partners, spirits sponsors, inspiring speakers, live performances and a live auction to spotlight the Foundation\u2019s commitment to pairing athletic excellence with educational preparedness, strengthening family stability and advancing opportunities for underserved communities.<\/p>\n
“Giving back to the places and people that lifted my own family is everything to me,\u201d Saquon Barkley said in the release. \u201cWhen we invest in young people, particularly in their education, their dreams, and their safety, we change the trajectory of entire families and neighborhoods. That\u2019s what our MASB Hope Foundation looks like in action.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson, a co-founder of the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation and a lifelong advocate for underserved communities, echoed the foundation\u2019s commitment to ensuring that the youth and families that they serve have access to both opportunity and stability.<\/p>\n
