PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Banana Ball is returning to Philadelphia!

The lottery is open right now for your chance to get tickets to see the baseball sensation’s stop at Citizens Bank Park next summer.

This time, Phillies legends Ryan Howard and Shane Victorino will square off on opposite sides of a rivalry.

They say this matchup is going to be two things: bananas and a BALL!

“It’s Broadway, it’s music, it’s a concert, it’s baseball, it’s dancing,” says former Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino. “You sit there, and you just go: Wow!”

The Flyin’ Hawaiian is now a prime-time coach for the Loco Beach Coconuts.

“These players are talented,” says Victorino. “I tell myself that there’s no way I could do a backflip to catch a ball. I know it wasn’t allowed, so if it was allowed, maybe I would have practiced it. But I never did a backflip in my life!”

Next August, his Coconuts will go head to head with Ryan Howard’s Indianapolis Clowns.

The former Phillies first baseman promises two epic days of games at their beloved Citizens Bank Park.

“You don’t want to miss it,” says Howard. “It’s going to be action-packed. You never know who’s going to show up. We may have some special guests out there. We’re gonna put on a good show. There’s no doubt about that.”

“Ryan and I are brothers in life, but competitors on the field,” says Victorino. “It’s our home, it’s our happy place. We got to share a lot of great memories on that baseball field together and off the field with the fans and everybody in the city of Philadelphia, and around the world. I know we’re both excited to be there.”

Can we expect the two to put on a musical number?

“You never know,” laughs Howard. “You never know what you’re going to see.”

Howard’s Indianapolis Clowns and Victorino’s Loco Beach Coconuts face off on August 27 and 28, 2027, at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia.
