Johnathan Dowd-Hinnant threw the woman to the ground, punched her several times, then stole her phone during the assault in Northeast Philly.<\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the violent robbery and beating of a woman in Northeast Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

Investigators identified the suspect as Johnathan Dowd-Hinnant.<\/p>\n

According to police, Dowd-Hinnant attacked a woman on October 12th<\/a> in the 2900 block of Holme Avenue.<\/p>\n

Authorities say he threw the woman to the ground, punched her multiple times, and stole her cell phone and vehicle keys.<\/p>\n

Investigators said Dowd-Hinnant then attempted to steal the victim’s vehicle but fled when bystanders intervened and chased him away.<\/p>\n

Police said an Action News viewer recognized Dowd-Hinnant from the video and provided information that helped investigators locate and arrest him.<\/p>\n

Dowd-Hinnant is facing assault and robbery charges.<\/p>\n
