BETHLEHEM, Pa. — All around our region and beyond, Veterans Day events commemorated the men and women who have served in the military.<\/p>\n
In Bethlehem, the National Museum of Industrial History held its annual ceremony, where veterans and families could walk through and sign an American flag.<\/p>\n
“There’s a saying, which is ‘freedom is not free,'” said Donald Trexler, president of the Steelworkers Veterans Memorial Committee. “Too often we forget that there’s men and women, all around the world, all around our country, responsible for our freedom, our safety and this is a day when we can recognize them.”<\/p>\n
Outside the window of the commemoration, the red, white and blue waved in front of the SteelStacks.<\/p>\n
