OBITUARY

Norma Suzanne Weidner passed away peacefully in her home in Dalton, Pennsylvania, on October 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Norma was the cherished daughter of Italian immigrants Olga Nardelli and Dominick Gori. Her heritage was a source of great pride. Wherever she went, she created a warm, welcoming space filled with love, laughter, and 10-course meals for everyone who knew her. A true caregiver at heart, Norma gave tremendously of herself to others. She absolutely loved to cook and took immense joy in feeding people, ensuring that no one ever left hungry.

Norma’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Gary Weidner Sr. She was a devoted and loving mother to her six children: Gary Weidner Jr., Lesli Haggerty, Linda Darger, Mark Weidner, Suzanne Weidner, and Steven Weidner. She was also a proud grandmother to her 12 grandchildren.

Norma will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Norma’s life will be held as a small, private event at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones, honoring the spirit of togetherness that Norma held so dear.

Norma Suzanne Weidner OBITUARY Norma Suzanne Weidner passed away peacefully in her home in Dalton, Pennsylvania, on October…

[15
178,180,179
post-315995","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-scranton","tag-scranton","tag-scranton-headlines","tag-scranton-news
["GET
