Charles Lawshe, 15, remains in the Allegheny County Jail after facing a judge for a preliminary hearing, where all charges against him were held for court. <\/p>\n

Police allege Lawshe shot three other teens following a football game at Cupples Stadium earlier this month on Pittsburgh’s South Side. Authorities said they identified him as the gunman through surveillance video and witness accounts. <\/p>\n

Casey White, Lawshe\u2019s attorney, said he plans to continue questioning the evidence. <\/p>\n

“I had a lot of questions for law enforcement about the identification of my client. There was some information that derived that another individual was stopped, as it relates to the shooting, and that he or she was interrogated by police as a potential suspect,” White said. <\/p>\n

In court, several witnesses testified, including Pittsburgh police detectives investigating the case, a Carrick High School counselor, and the school\u2019s principal. School officials said they identified Lawshe as a student at Carrick High School based on video shown during the hearing. <\/p>\n

“I’m not sure how confident those individuals were, the school counselor and principal, based on they were hesitant to say with 100 percent certainty that they were my client that they saw in the video,” White said. <\/p>\n

What the Video Shows<\/p>\n

The video presented in court showed four people walking in the area of Carson Street and toward Cupples Stadium. It then depicted crowds of people, including the four individuals, when a large fight broke out, followed by gunfire. <\/p>\n

White is requesting that attempted homicide charges against Lawshe be dropped. <\/p>\n

The district attorney\u2019s office argued that firing into a crowd of people is sufficient for the charges. <\/p>\n

Lawshe remains in the Allegheny County Jail without bail.<\/p>\n
