The\u00a0City\u00a0asked residents, businesses, SEPTA riders,\u00a0and community organizations for input on three design options for\u00a0the\u00a0public space\u00a0triangles, streets, and sidewalks at Broad, Germantown, and Erie.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The team used a combination of print and digital methods, including an online survey, paper mailer, online meetings, phone calls,\u00a0socially distanced\u00a0in-person surveying following the\u00a0Department of Public Health<\/a>\u00a0guidelines,\u00a0and materials in English\u00a0and\u00a0Spanish.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The City\u00a0received\u00a0781 responses.\u00a0Seventy-five\u00a0percent of online survey respondents\u00a0preferred the\u00a0literature theme\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0circles\u00a0layout\u00a0for the public spaces.\u00a0View engagement results.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n In addition,\u00a0survey\u00a0respondents preferred:\u00a0<\/p>\n Lawn\u00a0 There was a preference to\u00a0occasionally\u00a0close\u00a0the\u00a0short block of\u00a0Germantown Avenue\u00a0between Broad & Erie\u00a0for special events.
