Looking for some fun and unique things to do in Philly<\/a> this weekend? We\u2019ve got you covered.\u00a0<\/p>\n Winter Festivities at Dilworth Park\u00a0<\/p>\n Dilworth Park<\/a> is transforming into a hub for winter fun this month with the return of the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin, the Wintergarden and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market.<\/p>\n The Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink and Cabin will kick off Nov. 14 and remain open every day through Feb. 22, 2026. Admission is $7 for children (10 and younger) and $10 for adults, with skate rentals running at $10\u00a0 per person. Discounts are also available for groups of 10 or more.<\/p>\n At the southern end of Dilworth Park, the Wintergarden on the Albert M. Greenfield Lawn (open Nov. 14 through March 15) will transform into \u201can open-air oasis featuring hundreds of twinkling and colored lights, illuminated overhead sculptures and seasonal foliage.\u201d A Chaddsford Winery kiosk will also be housed in the space to sell warm mulled wine.\u00a0<\/p>\n And The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market (open daily from Nov. 14 through Jan. 1, sans Christmas Day) will also be on site to showcase dozens of local vendors from the Philadelphia region. The decorated stalls will sell everything from home goods to jewelry to skincare, to artwork, to artisan treats and everything in between.<\/p>\n 1 S. 15th St., centercityphila.org<\/a><\/p>\n Assembly Rooftop Lounge’s new menu<\/p>\n When the temperature drops, Assembly kicks the heat up when it comes to bites and sips, and their fresh winter menu has just debuted at this sky-high locale. The seasonal offerings span Raclette & Gruy\u00e8re Fondue ($17) served with toasted sourdough and honeycrisp apples; Mushroom Toast ($16); an Alpine Burger ($20) fashioned with house-ground beef, caramelized onions, Alpine cheese, pickles and garlic aioli served on a brioche bun; and a series of flatbreads.\u00a0<\/p>\n Drinks and dessert wise, the former features picks like the Autumn Affair ($18) crafted with Rittenhouse Rye, pumpkin, lemon, brown sugar, vanilla, and Fee Foam, and the Golden Hour Toddy ($16) with Jim Beam Black, chai tea, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla, among other sippers. The latter feature indulgences like Dark Chocolate Fondue ($15) and Caramel Beignets ($14.) Reservations are currently available online.\u00a0<\/p>\n 1840 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, assemblyrooftop.com<\/a><\/p>\n Love Your Park Weekend\u00a0<\/p>\n During Philly\u2019s annual Love Your Park Weekend, more than 100 local park volunteer groups will host different clean-ups across the city, and sign-ups are now live for those who want a hand in beautifying Philadelphia’s outdoor venues<\/a> from Nov. 14 to 16.<\/p>\n Anyone who chooses to suit up for this year’s event will get down and dirty planting and caring for trees, collecting leaves, and removing litter. Tools and gloves will be provided with support from Keep PA Beautiful, and any age group is welcome to join in by registering online.\u00a0<\/p>\n This year\u2019s signature Love Your Park Weekend event will take place at Gorgas Park in Roxborough on Saturday, Nov. 15. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers will work outside to clean and care for the space, and then celebrate with a DJ, activities for kids, and a speaking program featuring city and Conservancy officials, as well as community partners. As a release notes, Austen\u2019s Shelf founder Charity Alyse will be bringing her pop-up bookshop of Austen classics to the space alongside Manzanita\u2019s Dorit Avganim to “curate an experience straight from the pages of her beloved novels.”<\/p>\n The day will feature a first-look at the store\u2019s new antiques collection (think elegant corset covers, blouses, nightgowns and more), live readings of Jane Austen (for both kids and adults), tea blends and small batch Viennoiserie.\u00a0 This free event will kick off this Sunday (Nov. 16) from 2 to 7:30 p.m., with the kids read-a-loud at 4:30 and adult read-a-loud at 6:30.\u00a0<\/p>\n 4206 Baltimore Ave., manzanita.world<\/a><\/p>\n \u2018American Mythologies\u2019 at Germantown Historical Society<\/p>\n Philadelphians<\/a> can check out the work of two acclaimed artists under one roof with Germantown Historical Society<\/a>\u2019s latest exhibit, \u2018American Mythologies.\u2019<\/p>\n Open now through the end of the month (Nov. 22), the showcase highlights the creative talents of Philadelphia-based artists Tom Judd and Mark Stockton, both of whom delve into parallel explorations of American myths through the decades using mediums like large-scale paintings, drawings, mixed media, sound and immersive installations.<\/p>\n Both artists have paired the contemporary artwork of the site alongside historical artifacts, some of which are unique to the area, like the neighboring home of George Washington, Gilbert Stuart’s Anteneum Portrait, and the Society\u2019s own wallpaper and artifacts. This free exhibition is open to visitors on Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
