SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU)\u00a0\u2014 One person has been displaced after a fire broke out at a home across the street from the Lackawanna County Prison.<\/p>\n

Firefighters responded to a house fire around 9:20 a.m. Thursday on the 1300 block of North Washington Avenue, across the street from the Lackawanna County Prison in Scranton.<\/p>\n

There were no injuries, and one person was displaced from the home. The deputy chief said the house is condemned for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n

Crews worked with officials from Pennsylvania Power and Light (PPL) to terminate electrical service to the house.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire has not been determined.<\/p>\n
