The Leapfrog Group<\/a>, a national nonprofit focusing on hospital patient safety, has released its hospital safety grades for the second time in 2025, according to a news release, with Lehigh Valley health facilities continuing the trend of scoring well.<\/p>\n

The biannual study grades hospitals primarily on the rates of three healthcare-associated infections: methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), central line-associated bloodstream infections and catheter-associated urinary tract infections.<\/p>\n

Both St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network<\/a> and Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/a> facilities in and around the region earned \u201cA\u201d grades from the study, with a few graded \u201cB.\u201d<\/p>\n

LVHN regional hospitals, now part of Jefferson Health, earning a fall 2025 \u201cA\u201d were: Dickson City, Hazleton, Pocono and Schuylkill. <\/p>\n

Earning \u201cB\u201d grades in fall 2025 were: Cedar Crest, Hecktown Oaks and Muhlenberg.<\/p>\n

The regional St. Luke\u2019s hospital campuses earning a fall 2025 \u201cA\u201d were: Bethlehem, Allentown, Anderson, Carbon, Easton, Monroe, Miners, Sacred Heart, Upper Bucks, Geisinger St. Luke\u2019s and Warren.<\/p>\n

St. Luke\u2019s Grand View, which joined the network in July, received a \u201cB\u201d grade. <\/p>\n
