CATASAUQUA, PA. – District 11 4A championship at Catasauqua featured the defending champion, and top-seed, Southern Lehigh and 2-seed Bethlehem Catholic in a rematch of last year’s final.<\/p>\n
The top-seeded Spartans were led by standout running back, Sean Steckert, who rushed for 276 yards and 5 touchdowns on 45 carries.<\/p>\n
After the game lineman Carter Giberson stated, “We love blocking for Sean. He talks us up so much. I wouldn’t block for anyone else. Every day at practice, work hard. It shows on the field. We got a lot done this week; we improved. It shows. Second time in a row. It’s crazy to believe.”<\/p>\n
Colton Sams added 2 touchdowns through the air.<\/p>\n
Axel Burkart passed for 168 and a pair of scores for the Golden Hawks.<\/p>\n
Southern Lehigh (12-1) advances to the PIAA 4A quarterfinal round against either Bellefonte or Shamokin.<\/p>\n
