The Emmaus Halloween Parade 5K Race marked its 19th year with a record turnout and community-wide enthusiasm, according to a recent press release from organizers.<\/p>\n
A total of 594 runners registered to take on the 3.1-mile course ahead of the annual Emmaus Halloween Parade Oct. 18.<\/p>\n
The Keystone Running Store and Wesley Works Real Estate sponsored the annual 5K.<\/p>\n
Race organizer Wesley Barrett highlighted what makes the event so special:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Emmaus Halloween Parade 5K is one of the most unique races in the Lehigh Valley. The course is fast, family-friendly and with over 10,000 spectators cheering you on, it\u2019s really motivating.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 2025 champions were Matt Gillette, who claimed victory in the men\u2019s race with a time of 15:11 and Sarah Supplee, who led the women\u2019s field with a 19:50 finish.<\/p>\n
Of the 594 registrants, 237 were kids, with participants ranging in age from 5 to 82 years old, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud of what this event has accomplished,\u201d Barrett said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe funds raised go right back into the community to make Emmaus an even better place to live. It\u2019s events like these that make it feel like our community always has something to do,\u201d Barrett continued.<\/p>\n
Since starting, the event has raised more than $200,000 to support pedestrian and public safety initiatives, as well as other community projects.<\/p>\n
Runners may register for the 2026 race at emmaus5k.com. Early registration offers the lowest rates.<\/p>\n
