Project Curb Appeal, a local nonprofit founded by realtors Stacey Santos and Megan DeMarco, celebrated the completion of its second major home makeover with a press conference today at the Thompson residence in Harborcreek.<\/p>\n
The initiative, launched in 2024, aims to \u201cbeautify Erie, one home at a time\u201d by uniting local businesses and volunteers to assist homeowners in need.<\/p>\n
This latest project benefited Ronald and Gerri Thompson, ages 82 and 81, lifelong Erie residents facing health challenges that made exterior upkeep difficult.<\/p>\n
Nominated by their granddaughter and family members, the Thompsons were described as \u201cthe most loving, selfless, and giving people I know.\u201d That heartfelt appeal sparked an outpouring of community support.<\/p>\n
The transformation was made possible through the generosity of local businesses donating time, materials, and expertise. Cross Schultz Landscaping provided a complete landscaping overhaul. Star Tree Service worked on tree trimming and brush removal.<\/p>\n
McClymonds Wallace gave a mulch donation. Seaway Windows provided three new front windows manufactured locally. A-Team Powerwashing provided a full house and driveway cleaning, plus ramp staining.<\/p>\n
Fernandez Painting gave exterior painting under tight weather constraints. 814 Handyman will provide porch repairs, new railings, and fixture replacements. Matt Sharpe provided a gutter replacement. R. Frank Media conducted the project documentation and outreach.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat started as a simple idea to give back has grown beyond anything we imagined,\u201d stated co-founder Megan DeMarco. \u201cThe generosity of Erie businesses shows the pride we have in helping one another.\u201d<\/p>\n
Co-founder Stacey Santos added, \u201cIt\u2019s not just about improving a house, it\u2019s about restoring dignity, hope, and belonging.\u201d<\/p>\n
