MOHNTON, Pa. – Home Depot employees are giving the Mohnton VFW a makeover.<\/p>\n
Employees rolled up their sleeves this morning.<\/p>\n
They made repairs, painted walls, installed a safety rail, and did some concrete work.<\/p>\n
Officials with the VFW say it’s been a long time since work like this has been done.<\/p>\n
They say they hope the upgrades mean more veterans can stop in.<\/p>\n
“We’re working to try and get this place handicapped accessible because it is a VWF, and you know, you have veterans who are handicapped and it’s never been handicapped accessible here,” said John Renninger, senior commander at Mohnton VFW.<\/p>\n
“Team Depot” is made up of volunteers who work at Home Depot.<\/p>\n
