{"id":34968,"date":"2025-11-15T11:54:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T11:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/34968\/"},"modified":"2025-11-15T11:54:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T11:54:09","slug":"redners-markets-breaks-ground-on-new-store","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/34968\/","title":{"rendered":"Redner\u2019s Markets breaks ground on new store"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Redner\u2019s Markets has begun construction on a new store in Wilmington, Del., the Berks County-based grocer\u2019s first in that market.<\/p>\n<p>The 52,000-square-foot store will be the first with Redner\u2019s Fresh Market 2.0 store layout, which focuses on enhanced convenience and customer experience, the company said in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The store at 4365 Kirkwood Highway will include in-store food offerings and dedicated retail islands with products and convenient meals that include smash burgers, hot donuts, lobster rolls and artisanal breads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so excited to break ground on this new location and give our future customers in Wilmington a glimpse of everything our new Fresh Market will offer,\u201d Redner\u2019s President and CEO Ryan Redner said in a statement. \u201cThis new Fresh Market concept and layout makes shopping a little bit more convenient, a little bit more affordable, and a little bit more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"Redner's Markets has broken ground on a new store in Wilmington, Del., the Berks County-based grocer's first in the Wilmington market. This rendering shows the interior of the store and some of the store\u2019s retail islands.(Courtesy Redner\u2019s Markets)<\/p>\n<p>The new store, which is expected to open in summer 2026, will include retail islands with artisanal cheeses and store-made mozzarella, deli and prepared foods, meats and frozen foods, organic and gluten-free products and more, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the dedicated islands will include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Carnival Crush, offering nostalgic fair treats like popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs and funnel cakes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Earl\u2019s Smashburgers, offering burgers, fries, shakes and soft-serve with a dedicated eat-in \u201cdiner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Big Gary\u2019s Famous Chicken, offering bone-in fried chicken, wings and strips as part of meals and ready-made to-go options.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Fisher\u2019s Pier, offering bread bowls of clam chowder or shrimp gumbo as well as lobster rolls, crab cakes and shrimp po\u2019boys.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Marybakes, offering signature store-made cookies and artisan breads fresh from the oven, party cakes and hot donuts.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the groundbreaking, Redner\u2019s made a $5,000 donation to Jamie Moulthrop of Table of Plenty, a nonprofit that offers food assistance, clothing and empowerment programming to needy families and individuals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we look ahead, we are excited not only to expand our store design and food offerings, but to expand the partnerships that matter most to our customers,\u201d Gary M.
