Sen. John Fetterman<\/a> (D-PA) has returned home after being hospitalized for a fall he suffered late this week due to a \u201cventricular fibrillation flare-up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fetterman was taken to the hospital<\/a> out of \u201can abundance of caution\u201d on Thursday after falling outside his house in Braddock, Pennsylvania<\/a>. At the time, his office said he was \u201cdoing well,\u201d and Fetterman joked about his injuries, saying, \u201cIf you thought my face looked bad before, wait until you see it now.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an X post on Saturday, Fetterman shared an update on his condition that included a selfie showing extensive stitching on his face.<\/p>\n

20 stitches later and a full recovery, I\u2019m back home with @giselefetterman<\/a> and the kids.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m overwhelmed + profoundly grateful for all the well-wishes.<\/p>\n

The fall was the latest health problem Fetterman has faced since entering the Senate in 2023.<\/p>\n

FETTERMAN HOSPITALIZED AFTER FALL CAUSED BY \u2018VENTRICULAR FIBRILLATION FLARE-UP\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n

In February of that year, he was hospitalized after feeling light-headed during a Senate retreat. Weeks later, he checked himself into<\/a> Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive care for clinical depression, which had then become \u201csevere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before his time in Congress, he suffered a stroke while on the campaign trail in 2022. Months later, he defeated then-Republican candidate Mehmet Oz by nearly 5% in the Senate election.<\/p>\n
