Whenever the Stars<\/a> seem to climb out of their endless pile of injuries this season, another gets added on.<\/p>\n

Stars defenseman Thomas Harley<\/a> was labeled week-to-week with a lower-body injury shortly before Saturday\u2019s puck drop against the Philadelphia Flyers.<\/p>\n

Hours before at morning skate, Stars coach Glen Gulutzan deemed Harley a game-time decision. He was also a game-time decision ahead of Thursday\u2019s game against Montreal but ultimately played.<\/p>\n

However, his status update Saturday was far more concerning, as the team announced star defenseman wouldn\u2019t just miss Saturday\u2019s game but the next stretch of games.<\/p>\n

Harley has one goal and nine assists in 18 games this season. He is averaging 22:59 of ice time.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has become one of the Stars\u2019 most productive defensemen both in terms of points and ice time over the last two seasons. He signed an eight-year deal worth $10.587 million annually last month<\/a> to keep him in Dallas through 2033-34.<\/p>\n

Now with his injury and Nils Lundkvist\u2019s, which has lingered a month, the Stars are without two of their top four defensemen.<\/p>\n

Kyle Capobianco will replace Harley in the lineup, but Dallas now has just six healthy defensemen.<\/p>\n

Gulutzan said Saturday morning Lundkvist will start skating within the next few days, but it\u2019s unclear when he will return to the lineup. <\/p>\n

Harley is also making a push to be a member of Team Canada\u2019s 2026 Winter Olympic team. He was a late addition to Team Canada ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off last February.<\/p>\n
