Rain date is Dec. 7.<\/p>\n<p>The free, family-friendly includes performances from the Wyomissing Band, festive music from a DJ and seasonal treats. The Holiday Marketplace will feature local artisans and vendors with handmade gifts, crafts and d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the Stone House, families can visit Santa Claus. The lighting of the greens takes place at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Ski club<\/p>\n<p>The Flying Dutchmen Ski Club\u2019s Winter Sports Night will be held Nov. 20, at the Reading Liederkranz heated pavilion and beer garden, 143 Spook Lane, Lower Alsace Township. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees can meet representatives of local ski resorts, equipment vendors and winter sports retailers, explore trip opportunities and enjoy Liederkranz food and beverages.<\/p>\n<p>The Flying Dutchmen Ski Club is a four-season outdoor recreation club that also offers hiking, biking, kayaking and social events. The film\u2019s director, Daniel Robbins, will speak after the screening.<\/p>\n<p>Other films in the series are the documentary \u201cCharles Grodin: Rebel with a Cause\u201d Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.; the Holocaust documentary \u201cAmong Neighbors\u201d Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.; and the thriller \u201cShoshana\u201d Feb. 17 at 7, all at the GoggleWorks.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for \u201cBad Shabbos\u201d are $20 and $18 for seniors and students. Tickets for other films in the series are $10 or $8 for the discounted rate. The public is welcome, and admission is free.<\/p>\n<p>Church anniversary<\/p>\n<p>Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn, celebrates its 100th anniversary with an event on Sunday, Nov . 23., starting at 9:45 a.m. there will be an extended prelude with a brass ensemble, handbell choir, adult choir and piano-organ duet. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas F. Irwin Jr., pastor. and assisted by previous Advent pastors the Rev. William B. Fryer and the Rev. Wayne A. Heintzelman.<\/p>\n<p>The liturgy for the service will come from the Common Service Book and Hymnal, published in 1917 and widely used by Lutheran churches when Advent was founded.
