These donations included customer and associate contributions made at checkouts in Weis Markets stores throughout 2025, as well as a substantial corporate donation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach year, we\u2019re amazed by the incredible support our customers and associates show for our Fight Hunger campaign,\u201d said Weis Markets Chief Operations Officer Bob Gleeson. \u201cThis is a combined customer and company donation. We deeply appreciate our Weis team and shoppers for coming together to make a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gleeson said contributions like this are more important than ever given the current climate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo family should have to worry about when their next meal will be, and food banks play a vital role in helping us address food insecurity in our local communities,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to support our regional food banks to help close the gap for many families, so they do not need to choose between food and other essentials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Fight Hunger program raised a total of $555,000 for 18 partner food banks within its seven-state market area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Weis Markets announced Monday that it presented Helping Harvest Food Bank with a $20,000 contribution.
