\n\t\t\t\t\t\tA long-awaited fix to the pothole problem at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills is finally happening along a main stretch of the road, Frazer Township officials said.Milling and paving got underway on Monday along Village Center Drive, a stretch many said left them with damaged vehicles and flat tires in the past. The work is expected to last all week.\u201cIt’s a great thing to see happen. It’s been a long time, and a lot of people getting flat tires and everything going through here. So, yeah, it really needs done,\u201d Jimmy Houston said.\u201cI didn\u2019t think it was ever going to happen, but the potholes were getting terrible,\u201d Diane Bowser said.This will be the first road on the Pittsburgh Mills property to get long-term repairs made.Frazer Township engineer Dan Martone said Galleria Drive will be paved hopefully by the end of Wednesday, and then by the end of Friday, we should see the other side of Village Center Drive outbound, paved and painted. Frazier Township police Chief Aaron Scott said he was glad to see the property owner, Namdar Realty Group, paying to pave some of the main roads surrounding the mall.\u201cWe get a lot of, obviously, flat tires, damage to rims, people calling, letting us know of large potholes, as well as people swerving, hitting other vehicles due to the nature of the roads,\u201d Scott said.He\u2019s hopeful this week\u2019s project will be the first of many.\u201cIt’s my anticipation that more roadways will be paved.
