{"id":38594,"date":"2025-11-19T13:35:20","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T13:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/38594\/"},"modified":"2025-11-19T13:35:20","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T13:35:20","slug":"reading-housing-authority-opens-public-comment-period-on-2026-housing-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/38594\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading Housing Authority opens public comment period on 2026 housing plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Reading Housing Authority is accepting public comment on two key planning documents that will guide its operations in the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>Drafts of the agency\u2019s 2026 Annual Plan and its Administrative Plan for the Housing Choice Voucher Program are available for review.<\/p>\n<p>The annual plan outlines the agency\u2019s financial conditions, goals, objectives and key operating policies for public housing.<\/p>\n<p>The administrative plan serves as the framework for the voucher program, setting local guidelines within federal requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Both draft plans were prepared in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations, the authority said in a release.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said all feedback will be considered before final action is taken.<\/p>\n<p>Residents may schedule an appointment to view the documents at any housing authority administrative or program office by calling 610-775-4813.<\/p>\n<p>The plans are also posted online at <a href=\"http:\/\/readingha.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">readingha.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The public comment period runs through Jan 8 at 2 p.m. At that time the authority will hold a public hearing at the Willis Center for Administration, 400 Hancock Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>Written comments may be sent to Stacey J.
