Warren, PA \u2014 The Warren Area Student Union is once again hosting its annual haunted house, but this year they added a twist that makes it more inclusive for everyone.<\/p>\n
This marks the second year the group has offered a sensory-friendly haunted house tour, designed for guests who may not enjoy loud noises, strobe lights, or jump scares but still want to experience the fun.<\/p>\n
Pam Falber, Executive Director of the Warren Area Student Union, says the idea came from her grandson.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy inspiration is Brandon, my grandson. He likes haunted houses and a lot of the stuff that goes along with them, but he doesn\u2019t like loud noises or big scares, so that\u2019s why we did this. It\u2019s only our second year including a sensory friendly option, but the community has been very receptive to it.\u201d Falber said.<\/p>\n
Student scare actor Rage Brutto says being part of the haunted house has been a rewarding experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been kind of satisfying to scare people especially when you get the right affect,\u201d Brutto said.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s still one more chance to enter the \u201cContainment Zone\u201d at the Warren Area Student Union on Thursday, October 30th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.<\/p>\n
Admission is $5 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Warren Area Student Union.<\/p>\n
