Applications are due by Dec. 19 through the Commonwealth\u2019s employment website. Candidates must be at least 20 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid driver\u2019s license. Training lasts about 28 weeks, covering law, physical fitness, and police operations. Graduates start at an annual salary of $71,647, with pay rising to about $95,557 after five years.<\/p>\n
