Lower Macungie Middle School Theatre will present its fall comedy \u201cFractured\u201d 7 p.m. Nov. 20, 21 and 22. Tickets can be purchased at the door.<\/p>\n
Fairy tales have entertained readers and theater audiences for years. These tales are often filled with colorful characters and plot twists giving audiences laughs and\/or good feelings about the stories.<\/p>\n
\u201cFractured\u201d is one of those with an interesting twist; it combines fairy tale with real world. Journey through this storyline with fun fractured fairy tale characters and mortals as these two worlds collide in this silly parody. See how they figure out how to get everybody\u2019s story on track and reach a happy ever after.<\/p>\n
Students Asher Causa and Izzy Klimas have become good friends being in theater together. Asher plays the fairy tale story King. He auditioned hoping to get this part. He is having fun playing a character that \u201cyells a lot\u201d especially because that\u2019s not part of his personality. Asher said he loves acting. He likes being part of the theater community and describes it as \u201cawesome.\u201d He said, \u201cWe have a really good community, it\u2019s a good family.\u201d When describing the play, Asher who likes comedies says, \u201dI love the story, it\u2019s a really good story. I hope the audience gets the full experience, it\u2019s an amazing show that is entertaining, and the fantasy world in the show gets everyone attached to the show.\u201d<\/p>\n
Asher likes all the roles he has played in theater and encourages anyone interested in joining to not be scared saying it\u2019s going to be a new experience and you will learn a lot of things. \u201cWe don\u2019t leave people out, we try to be like a big theater family,\u201d Asher said.<\/p>\n
Izzy is one of the stage managers and helps backstage with following along with the show\u2019s script, giving cues and directing run crew on props, costumes as scenes come up and making sure the show runs smoothly working along with the tech booth.<\/p>\n

Previously, Izzy participated in theater helping in other shows including last year building the set and acting. \u201cIn our theater family, we\u2019re all friends, we all love each other. We don\u2019t allow toxicity, all of us talk to each other. I\u2019m having a great experience this fall with the family and getting through the show. I\u2019ve had much more fun being stage manager; I feel more connected. I hope the audience has a great experience and they can get a good laugh out of the show because there have been times where I was on stage watching and Mr. Campbell would add something and I would just be on the floor laughing and couldn\u2019t get up from laughing so much. It\u2019s a great time and I\u2019ve had a great experience with it,\u201d Izzy said. She said the show is hilarious and says little kids will love it and the adults will love it too because they will get the jokes.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just a good comedy for the eight graders; it\u2019s a great way to go out. I love this plot and they break the fourth wall a lot,\u201d Asher said.<\/p>\n
Grace Petrunak plays Princess Esmeralda who is in love with Lance A. Lot, a mortal from the real world. Her parents do not want her to be with him, but she has a fairy godmother who helps her get to him. Grace likes how funny the show is and the funny things the characters say. She was interested in theater because she wanted to be a part of something so she got involved. To those interested in seeing the show she said, \u201cIt\u2019s really funny and will lighten people\u2019s spirits.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bonnie Kenny plays Ciji the main antagonist which she describes as a fun character to play. She wanted this part and admitted, \u201cI have a little of Ciji in me! I wouldn\u2019t stalk anyone but I like how she comes in and out of the play and changes moods often \u2013 really jealous, really flirty and kinda clueless.\u201d Ciji is one of the characters from the real world. Bonnie has tried different parts of theater the last three years. She said \u201cIt\u2019s really funny the way the characters put the play more together.\u201d<\/p>\n
If anyone is thinking of theater, Bonnie said, \u201cTheater is really fun. You get to meet great people and Mr. Campbell is really nice.\u201d<\/p>\n
To remember her lines, Bonnie visualizes reading the pages. She finds that helps. She thinks the audience will think it\u2019s a nice play to watch if you want to get a laugh.<\/p>\n
