Philadelphia police have released images of two men they want to question in the suspicious death of a 50-year-old man found severely injured last week.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the 2400 block of Federal Street around 7 p.m. last Monday for a report of a burglary in progress.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, police found Amadou Thiam unresponsive and unclothed in the rear of the property with severe head injuries.<\/p>\n
He was taken to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition and died on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
A man who lives in the neighborhood, who did not want to be identified, said the news was difficult to process.<\/p>\n
“Not really expected, you know what I mean, like you just don’t know when you’re gonna go, you know, when it’s your time,” he said.<\/p>\n
The victim’s neighbors spoke to Action News off-camera, saying that they are still shaken. They said Thiam was social and often seen coming and going because of his job as a flight attendant.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives are now leading the investigation and hope the release of surveillance images will help identify the two men they want to question.<\/p>\n
Police described one suspect as a man with a thin build, wearing a black jacket over a red Puma hoodie, jeans and black sneakers with white soles, and carrying a black shoulder bag with a red stripe.<\/p>\n
The second man is described as having a medium build, bald head and a neatly trimmed beard. He was last seen wearing a gray coat and black pants.<\/p>\n
