To show appreciation, CBB will host a special gift card giveaway for donors during Thanksgiving week.<\/p>\n<p>From Saturday, Nov. 22 through Friday, Nov. 28, all presenting donors will receive a $15 gift card to either Country Fair or Giant Eagle. The incentive aims to encourage donations during a time when travel, holiday schedules, and cold weather often strain the blood supply.<\/p>\n<p>To provide more opportunities, the Erie Donor Center will offer extended hours, opening Sunday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaintaining a steady supply takes the help of dedicated donors,\u201d said Megan Solensky, Community Relations Specialist at CBB. \u201cThis week puts real pressure on the blood supply, so we\u2019re opening on Sunday to give donors one more opportunity at a time when it\u2019s really needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Appointments are encouraged but not required.
