Joseph R. Coleman, 62, of Valencia, PA, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. \u00a0Born on January 17, 1963, on the South Side of Pittsburgh. \u00a0Joe is survived by his devoted wife Lori (Switalski) Coleman. \u00a0Joe was the son of Mary (Guzik) and the late Fred Coleman, Son in Law of Betty (Senge) and the late Philip Switalski. \u00a0Proud father of Joseph K. Coleman (Jessica), Hannah Coleman and the late Jacqueline Coleman. \u00a0Stepfather of Troy O\u2019Leary (Katie Sinclair) and Brooke West (Russell). \u00a0Grandfather of Taylor Weiss and Chole Coleman. \u00a0Brother of Jan Ketter (late Gary) and Brother-in-Law of Brian Switalski (Debra), Susan Vincent (Edward) and Eric Switalski. \u00a0Uncle to his cherished nieces Gillian Switalski and Kiersten Oliver Ketter (Austin) and nephews Dr. George Campbell, Jim Campbell, Noah Vincent, Matthew Switalski, Sam Ketter (Maria) and great nephews Branson Campbell and Malcolm Oliver. As well as many close friends and extended family. Lastly Teddie, his furry little girl who gave him so much comfort over the last few years.

Joe graduated from South Side Catholic High School and worked as a butcher for over 30 years having owned his own butcher shop in Sharpsburg and eventually retired from Giant Eagle Market District. \u00a0He was a dedicated husband to Lori and loved the life they had built together. \u00a0He enjoyed life with his family and friends and always had fun and made sure everyone around him did too. \u00a0He also enjoyed travelling, hunting, fishing and singing to most genres of music but his favorite was southern rock. \u00a0He was forever the salesman and loved making a sales pitch or a deal. \u00a0Joe\u2019s favorite quotes: It\u2019s a small world, but I wouldn\u2019t want to paint it, and Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get.

Joe is as free as a bird now and his warmth, love of life, generosity, and especially sense of humor will be greatly missed. \u00a0He will live forever in our hearts.\u00a0

Friends received Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. \u00a0Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Church, St. Mark Parish. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Joe\u2019s memory to Suncrest Hospice.
