Expand<\/a><\/p>\n\u201cWe\u2019re expanding and keep getting bigger year-after-year,\u201d Limongelli said. \u201cThere has been 40% growth year-after-year with Buicks. It\u2019s basically for inventory to be put over there for storage. The intention is to level the building. It\u2019s been an eyesore; I\u2019ve been staring at it for almost seven years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Limongelli added that borough officials expressed approval of the project during a recent visit to the dealership.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were all thankful that we\u2019re actually doing something with that property,\u201d he said. \u201cThe police used to stake out the place just because of the criminal activity that was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Limongelli expects demolition to occur in about a year.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now, we\u2019re just using it for unloading vehicles that come in,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ll probably put vehicles over there now, but we also want to start cleaning up the area as much as we could.\u201d<\/p>\n
The project\u2019s cost remains unclear as Limongelli awaits estimates, he said.<\/p>\n
Moosic Mayor Bob Bennie praised Jo-Dan\u2019s commitment to the community and said he looks forward to continued success for the dealership.<\/p>\n
