{"id":40795,"date":"2025-11-21T16:37:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/40795\/"},"modified":"2025-11-21T16:37:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T16:37:07","slug":"csx-considering-legal-options-after-vote-to-change-hazelwood-zoning-district-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/40795\/","title":{"rendered":"CSX considering legal options after vote to change Hazelwood zoning district \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Pittsburgh Planning Commission\u2019s narrow vote to change the zoning designation for an industrial stretch of Hazelwood has railroad interests assessing their legal options after expressing opposition to the proposal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">After a long hearing that ended late into the afternoon Tuesday, the commission voted 4-2 to change the zoning for a stretch of Hazelwood that includes the majority of the 233-acre Glenwood yard and some other adjoining property from its established designation as a Riverfront General Industrial district, or RIV GI, to Riverfront Industrial Mixed-Use, or RIV IMU.
