BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Law enforcement officials are urging local college students to be careful behind the wheel when traveling during Thanksgiving break.<\/p>\n
Members of the Lehigh Valley DUI-Highway Safety Task Force were at Moravian University in Bethlehem on Friday, hosting their annual holiday road safety event.<\/p>\n
Students got to experience the dangers of drinking and driving by simulating field sobriety tests, and taking part in distracted and impaired driving simulators.<\/p>\n
“We can’t control how the student drives in the simulator, only they can control how they drive, so if they crash, that’s on them. But we built real-life consequences into the simulator, so it’ll show what it might cost for a crash,” said Bill McQuilken, chairman of the Lehigh Valley DUI Highway Safety Task Force.\u00a0<\/p>\n
