AND PENN AVENUE IS WHERE THE HOLIDAY MARKET IS SET UP. INSIDE THE AGNES R KATZ PLAZA AND ALSO THE BENEDUM LOT, PEOPLE VISITING PITTSBURGH FROM DALLAS, TEXAS AND CLEVELAND ARE IMPRESSED WITH THE HOLIDAY MARKET. PARIS WOLFE IS THE CULTURE AND DINING WRITER FOR THE CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER, AND SHE INTENDS TO HIGHLIGHT THE HOLIDAY MARKET. WE DON\u2019T HAVE A HOLIDAY MARKET IN CLEVELAND, AND THIS IS SOMETHING ONE OF MY PEERS WENT TO ALL THE HOLIDAY MARKETS IN EUROPE, AND SHE\u2019S GOING TO WRITE A STORY ABOUT IT. AND I SAID, WELL, I THINK PEOPLE CAN COME TO PITTSBURGH A LOT EASIER THAN DRIVE, THAN FLYING TO EUROPE. VENDORS CARRY MANY HANDCRAFTED ITEMS. THEY INCLUDE HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS, DECORATIVE ART, PAINTINGS AND PICTURES, AND OF COURSE, FUN HOLIDAY FOOD. I THINK IT\u2019S GREAT. I\u2019M HOPING TO GET IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT NOW. YOU GUYS DON\u2019T HAVE ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN DALLAS? NO, NOT LIKE THIS. MANY OF THE SMALL BUSINESS VENDORS AT THE HOLIDAY MARKET SAY THE ATTRACTION IS THE BACKBONE OF THEIR SUCCESS. IT\u2019S INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT. THIS IS IT MAKES OR BREAKS US EVERY YEAR, ESPECIALLY AS A SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT THESE SMALL BUSINESSES, MANY OF THEM. THIS IS A MAKE OR BREAK TIME FOR THEIR SEASON. SO WE WANT YOU TO GET OUT HERE. A LOT OF LOCAL ARTISTS, A LOT OF ARTISTS WHO ARE COMING IN FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY. SO FAR, THE VENDORS SAY THE SUPPORT IS PROVIDING THEM WITH SOME HOLIDAY CHEER. PEOPLE ARE GOOD. PEOPLE ARE KIND, AND WE HAVE VERY, VERY GOOD CROWD THAT COME AND SEE US EVERY YEAR.
