{"id":41671,"date":"2025-11-22T14:30:26","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T14:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/41671\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T14:30:26","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T14:30:26","slug":"marian-selects-alloy5-for-facilities-plan-times-news-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/41671\/","title":{"rendered":"Marian selects Alloy5 for facilities plan \u2013 Times News Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__body\">Marian High School announces the selection of Alloy5 Architects, based in Bethlehem, as its design partner to complete the school\u2019s first-ever Campus Master Facilities Plan \u2014 a bold step forward in reimagining Catholic education for families across Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne counties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">The Campus Master Facilities Plan will serve as a road map for Marian\u2019s next 75 years, ensuring that its facilities continue to reflect the excellence, faith, and community spirit that define the \u201cMarian Family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Alloy5, a firm with deep experience in educational campus planning and design, will partner with Marian\u2019s school leadership, board of directors and the facilities committee to develop a comprehensive plan addressing current needs, future growth, and campus enhancements aligned with the school\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">\u201cThis is a milestone moment in Marian\u2019s history,\u201d said The Rev. Robert Finlan, principal of Marian Catholic High School.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">\u201cFor 70 years, Marian has provided a faith-based education rooted in tradition and excellence,\u201d he said. This partnership with Alloy5 is a visionary step to secure our school\u2019s future for another 75 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">\u201cWe are deeply grateful for the leadership of our board of directors, under the direction of board Chair Dave Bielen \u201969, whose forward-thinking commitment made this possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">The selection of Alloy5 followed a competitive request for proposals process managed by Marian\u2019s facilities committee. The process emphasized campus safety, accessibility, modernization and the ability to preserve Marian\u2019s welcoming, family-oriented environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Jim Sauka, facilities committee co-chair, expressed appreciation for the collaboration that made this next step possible: \u201cWe are especially grateful to Bob Barton, the newest member of our facilities committee, who stepped forward to manage the RFP process with professionalism and care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">\u201cHis leadership helped guide us to an outstanding partner in Alloy5. This plan represents our shared belief that Marian\u2019s physical campus must continue to reflect the excellence of its people and programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Shannon Boyle Pietrak, facilities committee co-chair, highlighted the dedication and passion of the volunteers behind this initiative: \u201cOur facilities committee \u2014 made up of 19 alumni, parents, parents of alumni and friends of Marian \u2014 truly embodies the Marian spirit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">\u201cThey love this school, and they\u2019ve worked tirelessly to imagine how our campus can best serve today\u2019s students and generations to come.
