I love baseball, so the idea of a light show at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown<\/a>, home of the AAA Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, during their Illumination Christmas season display sounded like a fun way to spend an evening.<\/p>\n Illumination at Coca-Cola Park began in 2024, and I had a chance to visit one of their first operating nights in 2025. According to the site, they have added 300,000 more lights since their first year and have over 1.5 million throughout the park during their second year.<\/p>\n Walking through the gates, I was greeted by a beautiful display that covered nearly the entire stadium and even the playing field. Unlike most Christmas light displays in PA<\/a>, you can see pretty much the entire display here as soon as you walk in. However, there are also a lot of spots to uncover as you explore the grounds.<\/p>\n When you first walk in, in addition to a great view, you\u2019ll notice many small fire pits set up on the concourse. This is a great spot to warm up on cold evenings, and you can also buy s\u2019mores from the food stands to roast over the fire.<\/p>\n In this area, there are also some great photo spots including a giant ornament, a Christmas tre, and photos opportunities with the Grinch and the Iron Pigs\u2019 mascots.<\/p>\n Continuing your way around the concourse, you\u2019ll pass several more spots to get snacks (at regular ballpark prices), the team store (which has both regular and holiday season items for sale), warming tents, vendors, and more photo spots. You\u2019ll also find a spot to visit with Santa and several kids\u2019 activities to keep the young ones entertained.<\/p>\n There are also two bars where you can enjoy adult beverages either inside or outside warming tents. They offer a mix of beer, wine, and cocktails at expected prices for the location.<\/p>\n My favorite item they had was the light bulb drinking cups. You can get one of several cocktails inside these glowing vessels, which makes for a really fun souvenir (make sure to turn off the lights on the cup when you\u2019re done so you can use it again at home). The one I had was quite tasty, and it was a fun and unique way to enjoy a drink during my visit.<\/p>\n In addition to walking around the concourse, you can also walk along the field\u2019s warning track. As a baseball fan, this was actually quite a fun experience in and of itself, though it did make me miss summertime fun at the ballpark.<\/p>\n Walking along the track gives you a different vantage point of the lights, and there\u2019s even a fun light tunnel to walk through. Just make sure to watch out for the small train that drives around the field, one of several activities that you can do for an additional cost (as well as curling and a carousel).\u00a0<\/p>\n Every 15 minutes or so, the lights all around the stadium are synchronized to the music playing over the loudspeaker, which adds a lot of fun to the display. I\u2019d love to see it be a continuous thing, but it\u2019s still neat that it\u2019s something that happens fairly regularly.<\/p>\n Overall, I had a great time at the Illumination at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown. While it\u2019s not as big as some holiday\u00a0 attractions I\u2019ve visited, there is a lot to see, some fun activities, and the stadium is very well decorated for the event.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re looking for something fun to do this holiday season, I definitely recommend checking it out.<\/p>\n In 2025, Illumination at Coca-Cola Park is open most nights from November 14 through January 3, 2026. On most evenings, it is open from 6-9 pm, though it does vary a bit, so double check the hours for the date you visit.
